It’s possible to have the means to purchase something beneficial while also lacking the capacity to utilize it

Proverbs 17:16 KJV

Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

Note: the HEART and the MIND are interchangeable terms in the scriptures

The state of your heart (mind) will determine your compatibility with what it is you seek. And without the necessary compatibility, what you’re looking for will always be running away from you.

An ugly man says he wants to be beautiful, but isn’t willing to conform to the demands and habits that are conducive to maintaining beauty— good hygiene, healthy eating, exercise, proper sleep, etc. If you give him the currency to purchase beauty outright, that beauty will gradually become ugliness. The same way lottery winners typically end up right back where they were before hitting that jackpot, because they had poor financial habits and damaging beliefs about money to begin with.

All of that points back to the state of your heart; your heart will acutely determine where in this world you live; and I don’t mean that geographically, but in terms of the “realm” (or reality) you occupy…

Proverbs 4:23 KJV+

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues (deposits) of life.”

Now, this “realm”, programmed by your heart, will determine the overarching conditions of —and the overall results you experience in— your life, across the board!

I credit Apostle Joshua Selman for pointing this idea of the realms out to me

Additionally I am reminded of something else I learned from him— that everything is built twice: first in your heart, and then in the natural/physical. There is nothing that was built physically that wasn’t first envisioned, even if the resulting structure doesn’t measure up to the initial visualization.

And anything that enters your personal realm (via your physical possession) without first being constructed in your heart/mind, MUST be ejected from it— it has to. God designed it that way:

Genesis 11:1-6 KJV+

“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men BUILDED (past tense!).

6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now NOTHING will be restrained from them, which they have IMAGINED to do.”

Have it before you can have it

THIS explains why (for example), if a man who lacks the faithfulness to keep a steady job were to be gifted a brand-new pair of Yeezy’s (Kanye’s high-end designer shoes), his realm —the lacking state of his heart/mind— will reject and FIGHT that anomaly until the shoes are finally ousted from his environment.

Proverbs‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: But he that gathereth by labour shall increase.”

Whether through curiously unexplainable & irreparable damage from suspiciously limited use, or simply by theft, they MUST leave; because not only did that item enter his realm unlawfully by not being built with his imagination firstly, but also because the state of his heart/mind is insufficient to provide an honest resting place in his psyche to support the VALUE of such an item— despite how badly he may want them, he KNOWS he’s not deserving of such an item (his heart tells him it’s out of his league). And it’s his heart that programs his reality, not his immediate wants/desires, thus he’s overruled.

That is, UNTIL he changes at his very core, correcting his lack of faithfulness through the renewal of his mind (heart) thus solidifying a more responsible commitment to labor, resulting in the elevation of his realm in the process; which will favorably change his perception of what he’s deserving of:

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬+

“For as he (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he…”

Assuming you’re already putting your hands to use, as is required of everyone (2 Thess 3:10)

What you desire to have, you must first intricately imagine & visualize yourself with. You’ll have to build the “house” (structures, objects) you want to occupy/own before you can ever peacefully possess and reside in it, otherwise you’ll just be forced out of it (by your realm rejecting it on the basis of your lack of development) in due time. And what’s necessary for building is wisdom…

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established:

4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled With all precious and pleasant riches.”

  • You want wealth: Have you researched what it takes to become rich, keep your money, AND multiply it?
  • You want a spouse: Have you read any books on being an effective partner to the opposite sex?
  • You want children: How many books have your read on parenting?
  • You want xyz: What are you doing to secure it? What're you doing to keep it once you've finally earned it?
  • (those are just a few examples, some not always applicable to everyone)

Pearls aren’t to be cast before swine. So if pearls are symbolic of what you desire, you need to apply yourself to the heart/mind transformation that will lift you from the incompatibility of pearls-&-swine to the compatibility of pearls-&-their-wearer.

In other words, acquiring the wisdom/understanding/knowledge relevant to the things you desire will bring you closer to possessing them; by efficaciously ‘building’ the “houses” —i.e.; the structures, both physical & non-physical— you want to occupy, through the resulting visualization & meditation that will naturally accompany your pursuit of the relevant understanding related to what you desire.

And here’s one more tip…

Don’t apply yourself too thinly in your pursuit; prioritize one outcome —one meaningful change or result— at a time:

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:40-42‬ ‭KJV‬‬+

“But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about MANY things:

42 but ONE thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1:5-8 KJV+‬‬

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A DOUBLE (more than one) minded man is unstable in ALL his ways.

(multitasking is a myth)
